Do you think Ishida's win over Kirkland makes him a credible opponent for Paul Williams?
As an opponent, yes. But as an opponent on the main card of an HBO Championship Boxing? Hell no. Paul can take an easy comeback fight, that is perfectly fine, but do it on an undercard or on something besides HBO. Paul doesn't deserve to get paid seven figures to fight Ishida. That is a total rip off, and pathetic if you ask me. Israel Vasquez got paid $750,000 to fight Rafael Marquez in their fourth fight, the highest payday of his career. Yet Paul gets to make even more than that, coming off of a knockout loss and facing someone who doesn't deserve to be headling an HBO card. I can't believe HBO actually approved this fight as a headliner, aren't they suppose to put on the best quality fights possible? Because this is far from it.
